Towards High Impact Research at the Faculty of Science March 2021

The Faculty of Science at Kibabii University remains at the forefront in development of mechanisms for high impact research beneficial across the globe. According to a recently published report from webometrics, the largest higher education Institutions’ Ranking across the globe; an excellence rank targets number of publications amongst the top 10% most cited in ranked disciplines in their database.

The faculty of Science under the leadership of Dr. Lucy Walingo Chikamai is not taking anything for granted. The faculty has established structured processes to promote the publication of high impact research under the oversight of Ms Esther Machana, the Research Coordinator. The process activities are wide faceted and include internal scheduled peer reviews and presentations from departments. These initiatives are systematically geared to advancing the publication of high quality work evidenced by enviable citations that have been observed in recent metrics.
