A very warm welcome to all to the department of science, technology and engineering. We mentor and train students in chemistry, physics, renewable energy and related sciences. From the chemistry and physics of the atmosphere, to the physics and chemistry of biological systems and engineering; STE is your home.You want to grasp knowledge in physics and chemistry for teaching careers. Perhaps the urge to apply physical and chemical methods to address complex natural processes is your motivation. Right!. Learn from the leaders at STE.You will be part of well managed classroom groups in renewable energy, physics and chemistry. At the end of your hard work, you will become part of our high scoring graduates in teaching and research, or an employee in the public and private sector in metrology, meteorology, renewable energy, environmental physical sciences.Upon successful completion of our courses, our graduates get employed as secondary school teachers and instructors in middle level colleges. Many more graduates have been placed as physicists, chemists, renewable energy officers, quality control managers, meteorological officers,environmental officers, technologists among many available careers.This depends on your hardwork, area of interests and specialization.

Atmospheric physics applies physical methods to study the atmosphere while theoretical physics employs mathematical models and abstractions of physical objects and systems to rationalize, explain and predict natural phenomena. Geophysics studies the earth and environment in space while measurement and instrumentation applies physics in determining physical values and metrology. Renewable energy studies natural convertible and replenished energy (clean energy technologies) in addition to nuclear physics that investigates atomic nuclei and their constituents and interactions.

Analytical chemistry uses instruments and methods used to separate, identify, and quantify matter while organic chemistry examines hydrocarbons and organic sythesis of compounds of human importance. Environmental chemistry investigates chemical and biochemical phenomena that occur in natural places.
