The Scientific Computing Laboratory of the Department of Mathematics at Kibabii University will bring together undergraduate, postgraduate students and researchers interested in developing fast, reliable, and robust numerical algorithms needed for modeling and simulation in a variety of fields including statistics, physics, engineering, life sciences, and data science. The laboratory has been established and funded by Kibabii University and was operationalized on February 26th, 2020. Speaking during inauguration, the Chairman of Department of Mathematics, Dr. Boniface Otieno Kwach thanked the University Management for supporting this research initiative.
