Ms. Yvonne Kariuki, a staff at the Department of Mathematics recently participated in an international workshop dubbed “Women in SAGE” at Makerere University in Uganda. SageMath is a computer algebra system with features covering many aspects of mathematics, including algebra, combinatorics, graph theory, numerical analysis, number theory, calculus and statistics. The workshop brought together participants from Europe and African continents. We wish Yvonne Kariuki well as she shares the proceeds of the workshop with the KIBU fraternity.
